Welcome to Full Pawtential Rehab, where we believe every dog deserves a second chance. We're a volunteer organization dedicated to rehabilitating shelter dogs, helping them become adoption-ready through socialization and behavior training.
Our mission
At Full Pawtential Rehab, we're passionate about helping shelter and rescue dogs find their forever homes. Through dedicated temporary foster care, we provide essential socialization and behavior training, ensuring each dog is prepared for life in a home and has a better chance of finding their forever family.
Our rehabilitation programs
We offer a range of specialized programs designed to meet the unique needs of each dog. Our approach focuses on understanding and addressing individual behaviors, providing effective and practical solutions for successful rehabilitation.
Basic commands and house manners
We work on the very basics with our fosters to make less work for future adopters. A lot of these dogs also don't have experience in a home setting and can lack basic home manners such as kennel training and potty training.
Socialization skills
Shelter and rescue dogs can be unaccustomed and sometimes fearful of humans and other dogs. If they are too scared to approach potential adopters, they are less likely to be adopted. Incompatibility with other dogs also limits who would be able to adopt them. Our resident dog mentor works to show them how to make friends.
About us
Full Pawtential Rehab began with a simple idea: to help shelters and rescues that are overburdened in CenLa give their dogs a better chance at adoption by helping work on things to make them more appealing to adopters while they foster with us. A dog with basic obedience, house manners, and the ability to be friendly with other dogs has a better chance of finding a forever home.

As lifelong residents of Pineville, LA, we wanted to find a way to give back to the community. We love dogs and overpopulation keeps shelters and rescues full to the brim. So we found a unique way to help.
